About the Artist:
Julie Paschkis is a renowned painter and award-winning illustrator of over 20 books for children, featuring folk tales, poems, and biographies. She has also designed fabric, cards, and tabletop designs, showcasing her passion for pattern and folk art. Born in 1957 near Philadelphia, she studied at Germantown Friends School, Ringerike Folkehogskole in Norway, Cornell University, and the School for American Craftsmen at RIT, earning a BFA.
