About the Artist:
Mick Harding is a Taungurung artist from the Yowung-Illam-Baluk and Nattarak Baluk clans of the Kulin Nation. Based in Victoria, he is known for his work across wood carving and printmaking, which draws deeply from the stories, symbols, and cultural heritage of South Eastern Australia. Through his brand Ngarga Warendj (Dancing Wombat), Mick creates pieces that reflect his commitment to preserving and sharing Indigenous Australian culture. His artwork often connects to traditional narratives, inviting viewers to find their place within the story while also supporting cultural and community resilience.
