Varcoe Ngurunderi Large Salad Bowl

$ 48.00

This large aluminum salad bowl by artist Cedric Varcoe beautifully integrates cultural storytelling with practical design. Inspired by the creation story of Ngurunderi, the artwork captures the journey of Ngurunderi, the Murray River, and the Ngarrindjeri people, bringing the rich history of the River Murray to life. As Ngurunderi follows Pondi, the giant Murray Cod, the landscape, lakes, and rain are formed, all of which are reflected in the swirling, vibrant design on the bowl. Made from durable aluminum, this bowl offers both beauty and functionality, ideal for serving salads or as a striking centerpiece. It’s lightweight yet sturdy, perfect for everyday use or special occasions, while also connecting you to the traditions and deep cultural heritage of the Ngarrindjeri people. Whether you’re hosting a gathering or enjoying a quiet meal, this bowl is a vibrant and meaningful addition to your home.
