Dainty Tulip Brooch

The bright and vibrant petals of the tulip are a sign that spring has finally arrived and nature is ready to showcase its blooms. Though the flower is often associated with the sprawling tulip fields in the Netherlands, it actually originated in Turkey after being cultivated from Asia. Part of the lily family, the tulip has over 2000 different varieties to enjoy, with each color holding its own, unique meaning. The tulips signature, curved stem is caused by its flower bud bending towards the nearest light source. 

Crafted from noble metals, Michael Michaud Jewelry is handcrafted in the United States. His jewelry is both inspired by and cast straight from nature, so that every delicate detail is captured. On the Violet collections, the artist's son, Michael Vincent Michaud, also contributes with hand-crafted glass tulip heads in pink, purple, and yellow.
