My Grandmother's Country and Women's Ceremony, 2020
This dreaming tells the stories of Michelle's Grandmother's Country. It is an abstract landscape of her country and the ceremonial activities that take place. Michelle uses traditional central desert motifs to depict the abundance of bush tucker, plants, and vegetation that Women forage in the region alongside campsites, water sources, and ceremonial sites.
This area is very important to her family, as this is where they go to find food, educate their young, do business, and hold important ceremonies.
