About the Artist:
Theo (Faye) Nangala Hudson, born in 1989 in Alice Springs, is a Warlpiri artist from the remote community of Nyirripi in the Northern Territory. She began painting at the age of 13 with the Warlukurlangu Aboriginal Corporation, inspired by her grandmother’s artwork and stories. Theo’s art is grounded in her family’s Jukurrpa (Dreamings), including Bush Banana Dreaming and Pikilyi (Vaughan Springs) Dreaming, stories passed down through generations. Known for her vibrant palette and dynamic patterns, Theo brings a contemporary vision to traditional iconography, using her work to celebrate culture and connection to Country.
